Jo Tagney

Jo Tagney, born in Bristol, learned to read music playing recorders in primary school, and sang a lot of Gregorian Chant in grammar school, and many Beatles songs with her 7 younger siblings, on long holiday journeys. Learned Irish tunes on whistle and Bach on flute while performing with Footsbarn Theatre around Cornwall in the 1970s; sang and played whistle, as a fire-eating gypsy, around Renaissance Faires in the USA in the early ’80s; and played traditional music on various instruments while touring with the Cornish bands Gwaryoryon; then Jack and Jenny Band; then Caracana, around festivals in the celtic countries of the British Isles and Brittany. Singing with Kescana since 1991; playing harp with Telynores since 2014, and solo for four summers in central Japan, in Barakura English Garden.
